Abstract

Generasi Z di Kota Makassar menghadapi kehidupan sosial yang majemuk sekaligus semakin terdigitalisasi, sehingga penguatan literasi kebhinekaan dan budaya ruang aman menjadi penting untuk mendukung interaksi yang inklusif, empatik, dan nondiskriminatif. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan memperkuat literasi kebhinekaan dan pemahaman budaya ruang aman pada kelompok Generasi Z di Kota Makassar yang secara operasional dijangkau melalui 336 mahasiswa baru peserta Pengenalan Kehidupan Kampus bagi Mahasiswa Baru (PKKMB) Jurusan Ilmu Ekonomi, Fakultas Ekonomi dan Bisnis, Universitas Negeri Makassar. Materi meliputi keberagaman, stereotip, prasangka, diskriminasi, komunikasi empatik, budaya ruang aman, serta nilai lokal Bugis-Makassar berupa sipakatau, sipakainge, dan sipakalebbi. Metode yang digunakan adalah workshop partisipatif melalui penyampaian materi, diskusi kasus, refleksi, dan evaluasi. Data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner, observasi partisipasi peserta, dan dokumentasi, kemudian dianalisis secara deskriptif kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan peningkatan rata-rata pemahaman dari 66,9 pada pre-test menjadi 87,7 pada post-test atau sebesar 20,8 poin. Peningkatan tertinggi terjadi pada indikator pemahaman budaya ruang aman, yaitu dari 61,7 menjadi 88,4. Sebanyak 301 peserta (89,6%) mampu mengenali sedikitnya satu bentuk stereotip atau diskriminasi, 287 peserta (85,4%) memberikan alternatif respons yang lebih inklusif, dan 310 peserta (92,3%) menilai materi kebhinekaan dan ruang aman penting diberikan sejak masa transisi awal perguruan tinggi. Temuan tersebut menunjukkan penguatan pemahaman jangka pendek pada kelompok peserta, tetapi tidak dimaksudkan untuk merepresentasikan seluruh Generasi Z di Kota Makassar karena evaluasi menggunakan rekapitulasi agregat tanpa kelompok pembanding dan tanpa pengukuran tindak lanjut.
