Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk memetakan potensi kuliner lokal sebagai produk wisata di Kelurahan Sekanak Raya, Kecamatan Belakang Padang, Kota Batam, melalui pendekatan pemberdayaan masyarakat perbatasan. Latar belakang kegiatan ini didasarkan pada keberadaan potensi kuliner masyarakat yang belum sepenuhnya terdokumentasi, terstandarisasi, dan terintegrasi dengan pengembangan pariwisata maritim berbasis komunitas. Metode pengabdian dilakukan melalui pendekatan partisipatif dengan tahapan koordinasi bersama mitra, sosialisasi, diskusi kelompok terarah, tanya jawab, observasi lapangan, serta pendampingan terbatas kepada masyarakat dan pelaku kuliner lokal. Hasil pengabdian menunjukkan bahwa Kelurahan Sekanak Raya dan kawasan Belakang Padang memiliki beragam potensi kuliner yang dapat dikembangkan sebagai daya tarik wisata, antara lain Cendol Botak, Mie Lendir, Prata, Penaram, Laksmana Mengamuk, Rujak Buk Lak, serta olahan hasil laut yang merepresentasikan identitas masyarakat kepulauan. Kegiatan ini juga menemukan bahwa masyarakat memiliki keinginan kuat untuk mengangkat kuliner lokal sebagai bagian dari pengembangan pariwisata, tetapi masih menghadapi kendala berupa keterbatasan modal, belum optimalnya standardisasi produk, pengemasan yang belum menarik, promosi digital yang masih terbatas, legalitas usaha yang belum merata, serta belum adanya pola produksi yang lebih terencana. Melalui kegiatan diskusi dan pendampingan, masyarakat memperoleh pemahaman bahwa kuliner lokal tidak hanya bernilai sebagai produk konsumsi, tetapi juga dapat menjadi identitas destinasi, media promosi budaya, serta sumber peningkatan ekonomi masyarakat. Pengabdian ini menyimpulkan bahwa pemetaan kuliner lokal perlu dilanjutkan dengan penguatan kapasitas pelaku usaha, branding produk, promosi digital, legalitas usaha, dan kolaborasi lintas aktor agar kuliner Sekanak Raya dapat berkembang sebagai produk wisata berbasis masyarakat yang berkelanjutan.
